CHRISTINE P. ARMWOOD

MOUNT OLIVE -- Christine Pearsall Armwood, 81, passed away Wednesday at Genesis Healthcare in Mount Olive.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Lossie Bass Pearsall and wife of Frank Armwood Jr.
She was a member of Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the mother of the church.
Funeral services will be Monday at Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. L.B. Fasion officiating. Burial will follow in Family Circle Cemetery in Mount Olive. A wake will be held Sunday evening at the church from 5 to 7 p.m.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, DeLoris Langley Wells of Baltimore, Md., and Peggy Kornegay of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Dorothy Parmely, Rachel Coe and Edna Davis; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charlie Junior Armwood.
