JANICE BEST TUCKER

Janice Best Tucker, 65, went to be with her Lord Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Janice was born in Wayne County March 26, 1947, to the late Fonnie Smith Best and Vaden Joseph Best.
She retired due to her health from Village Beauty Shop in which she was a partner for 45 years. Janice loved her work and the many families she became involved with.
Janice was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday school class. Her home church was Selah Christian Church, and she worked with the Girl Scouts for years at Providence United Methodist Church.
She had a great love for helping young people and reaching out to others with her cards. Her life was her love for God, family and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 23, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Love Memorial Baptist Church, followed by a service to celebrate Janice's life at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary, with the Rev. Richard Toler officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Isom W. Tucker Jr.; her daughter, Christy Vinson and husband, Brian; brother, Everette J. Best and wife, Rosie; nieces, Denise Best and friend, Doyle Lupton, and Linda Hedspeth and husband, Bill; and a great-nephew, Michael Saunders.
