WINSTON-SALEM -- Orva Aman Thomas, also known as Sherry, 76, formerly of Goldsboro, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nelson Walker Thomas.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 U.S. 117 South, Dudley, N.C., 28333.
Orva "Sherry" is survived by her children, Regina C. Waldrop and husband, Bill, of Chesterfield, Va., Danny Cherry and wife, Gale, of Diamond Bar, Calif., and Shelton Cherry and Cheryl of Gloucester, Va.; grandchildren, Angela Darafeev and husband, Chris, Brett Waldrop and wife, Andrea, and Sherri Waldrop; a great-grandson, Ayden Darafeev; a soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Rebecca Claire Waldrop; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
