RACHEL HALL SUTTON

Wednesday morning, Jan. 9, 2013, Rachel Hall Sutton, 70, Rosewood Community, moved to her heavenly home.
Rachel was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family, and set an example for her children and grandson that will lead them all their lives.
Rachel was born in Sampson County Dec. 2, 1942, to Hazel Joyner Hall and the late Claudie B. Hall.
She was a caring, loving parent and grandparent whose primary goal was the happiness and security of her family.
Rachel spent many hours volunteering at the Family Support Center at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
She was a member of Rosewood First Baptist Church.
A service remembering the life of Rachel will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Rosewood First Baptist Church, with the Rev. E.C. Mattocks and Dr. Mike Cogdill officiating. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Park.
Rachel will be remembered as a devoted wife to her husband of 52 years, Robert Wayne Sutton.
In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her children, Jeff Sutton and wife, Laura, of Rosewood and Melissa Thornton and husband, Michael, of Rosewood; grandson, Kaden Thornton; brother, Billy Hall of Grantham; and sister, Linda Hall King of Selma.
The family will receive friends following the service Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Rosewood First Baptist Church. At other times, the family will be at her home.
