Died Dec. 27, 2012
Marjorie Sasser Forbes, 73, of the Rosewood community passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 27, 2012, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh after six weeks of illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the home of Ruth Davis and immediately following the graveside service.
Marjorie was a charter member of Rosewood First Baptist Church. She was retired from ICI Americas and her entire life was dedicated to her family, especially her son, Timmy.
She is survived by three sons, Andy Allen and wife, Jeannie of Rosewood, Timmy Allen and Todd Allen all of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren, Amy and husband, Randy Lintner, Anthony and wife, Lee, Joshua and wife, Lettie, Brandon and wife, Tiffany, Dustin, Ashli and Samantha; three great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Laura Lintner and Lilly Allen. She is also survived by two sisters, Ruth Sasser Davis and Carolyn Braswell and husband, Henry; one brother, Gene Sasser and Rudine; a sister-in-law, Peggy Sasser; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Kit Forbes; an infant son, Jimmy Allen; her parents, Clarence and Lillian Wadsworth Sasser; her brother, L.J. Sasser and wife, Lorraine and Jesse Paul Sasser; a sister, Johnnie Bass and husband, Graham.
