Nona Bunch Hyman, 82, of 2101 William St. passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at Brian Center of Goldsboro.
Loving memories are forever cherished by her son, Willis E. Hyman Jr. of Amityville, N.Y.; her stepmother, Beatrice Bunch of Wilson; four grandchildren, Mia Javonda Hyman of Washington, D.C., DeAnna Hyman of Amityville, N.Y.; DeAnna Hyman of Amityville, N.Y., and Ericka Mullins of Bowie, Md.; six sisters, Arsie Pough of Brooklyn, N.Y., Georgia Kirby of Roosevelt, N.Y., Cherry Coley of Wilson, Ernestine Evans (Tom) of Franklin, N.C., Christine Washington of Baltimore, Md., and Janie Lewis (Arthur) of Franklin, N.C.; one brother, Samuel Bunch (Mary) of Wilson; three aunts, Minnie Braswell of Brooklyn, N.Y., Essie Braswell of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Mae Burt Braswell of Newark, N.J.; one uncle, Ed Bunch of Fremont; a host of other special relatives and friends, including special cousins and caregiver, Thelma Forbes (Jimmie) of Wilson.
A celebration of her life will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro St. SW. Pastor Timothy Dortch will officiate. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Extension. Public viewing will take place today from 3-8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Wilson and with the family present from 6:45-7:45 p.m. All other times the family will receive friends at the residence of Thelma and Jimmy Forbes, 2006 Fieldcrest Road, E. Wilson, where they will also assemble one hour prior to the funeral service in preparation of the funeral procession.
