Mr. Louis Dixon Franks, 68, Johnson City, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Frank's wishes were to be cremated and to have his cremated remains scattered at his favorite hunting grounds.
A native of Goldsboro he was the son of the late Garland Braxton and Hazel Abiah Montague Franks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Troy Patrick Franks.
Mr. Franks was a member of the Goldsboro High School Class of 1961.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Franks enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors, and preparing wonderful food for his friends and family.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Franks Erdmann and husband, Horst Martin, Yarmouth Port, Mass.; brother, Lee Braxton Franks and wife, Laura, Columbus, Ohio; nieces, Heather Franks Naggar, Heidi Erdmann Sullivan, and Elizabeth Baker Jones.
