Rosalie Dexter Thompson, 87, died Monday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was born in Wayne County to the late Silas and Nora Elmore Cox, and was married to the late Gary M. Dexter and Joseph D. Thompson.
She is survived by six children, Douglas M. and Brenda Dexter of Dudley, Mark W. and Janice Dexter of Fayetteville, Patricia and Ray O'Valley of Goldsboro, Paul D. and Mary Dexter of Dudley, Silas W. and Dee Dexter of Virginia and Gary Lee and Kim Dexter of Albertson.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
