JOHN KARL WEYHER

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- John Karl Weyher, 59, died March 6 in St. Paul, Minn.
He was born July 30, 1952, in Miami Beach, Fla. He grew up in Goldsboro, and graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1970.
He was inducted into the Order of the Arrow as a member of Boy Scout Troop 2.
He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Karl was known for his quick wit and lifelong love of music and the outdoors.
He is survived by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. John E. Weyher Jr. of Wilmington; two sisters, Karen Weyher Gavigan and her husband, Frank, of Greensboro and Melissa Weyher Saunders and her husband, Robert, of Newport News, Va.
He is also survived by three nephews, John Gavigan, Matthew Gavigan and Joseph Saunders, and a niece, Grace Saunders.
Other survivors include two aunts, an uncle and several cousins.
A family memorial service will be held in Topsail Beach at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tuscarora Council of Boy Scouts, 316 E. Walnut St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530, or a charity of one's choice.
