LOIS R. NEWSOME

Lois Swinson Radford Newsome, 93, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at Keller's Oak Haven in Sanford.
Lois was born in Greene County Jan. 9, 1919, to the late Edward Radford and Maggie Best Radford. She was married to the late Earl Newsome Sr.
Lois was a member of Pinewood Presbyterian Church.
She was a bookkeeper at Weil's Department Store for 43 years.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Fred Crank officiating.
Lois is survived by her son, Earl Newsome and wife, Pat, of Sanford; her granddaughter, Amanda Williams and husband, Edward, of Goldsboro; her grandson, Ian Newsome of Boone; and her great-grandchildren, Sydney, Michelle and Samuel.
She is also survived by her sisters, Mahala Wiggins of Goldsboro, Elizabeth Howell of Goldsboro and Joyce Taylor of Maine.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
