Joseph Moye Sr., also known as Joseph Foreman, 73, 1004 Lexington Ave., passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2012.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at noon at Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church, 1114 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro, with elder Joseph Williams Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park North.
Joyful memories will forever be cherished by his loving wife, Aratha Hamilton Moye of Goldsboro; a son, Joseph L. Moye Jr. of Goldsboro; a stepdaughter, Brenda Hamilton of Goldsboro; two grandsons, Joey Moye III of Cary and Cambric Moye of Greensboro; two stepgranddaughters, Conswella Darden of Goldsboro and Vernita Mitchell of Florida; a sister, Lula Raiford of Goldsboro; a devoted brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ernest and Sheila Hamilton of Goldsboro; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held Thursday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, from 3 to 7 p.m., with the family receiving friends there from 6 to 7 p.m.
At all other times, the family will receive friends at the home of his son, Joseph L. Moye Jr., 404 Hunters Creek Drive, Goldsboro.
Caring and professional services have been entrusted to the Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
