Shingleton Boykin, 78, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, in Austell, Ga.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Stantonsburg Baptist Church. Interment will be in Stantonsburg Cemetery.
She had lived in Stantonsburg before marrying Charles David Boykin, formerly of Snow Hill, and establishing their home in Austell.
Many will remember her from her years in the Stantonsburg Post Office.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Garland, and their son, Bryce Shingleton.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Lynn Lancaster (Ray) of Eureka; grandchildren, Leigh G. Worley (Stephen) of Fremont, Rebekah Shingleton of Raleigh and Will Shingleton (fiancé, Jennifer Ricks) of Boston, Mass.; great-grandchild, Tristan Worley; daughter-in-law, Susan M. Shingleton of Wilson; brother, Keith Hunt (Connie) of Tarboro; niece, Amber Hunt; stepdaughter, Linda Paris (Brad) of Birmingham, Ala.; stepson, Charles Boykin (Bonita) of Smyrna, Ga.; five stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service in Wilson Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and at the Shingleton home,
401 Saratoga Road in Stantonsburg Friday.
