MARGARET "PEG" BRADY
Died Oct. 9, 2011
Margaret "Peg" Brady, 80, died Sunday evening, Oct. 9, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The family will receive friends to celebrate her life, Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
Peg was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of St. Michael's Base Chapel at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. "Granny Peg" loved God, her family, friends and Krispy Kreme coffee with a shot of vanilla. Her secrets to life were love and laughter.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 571/2 years, John R. Brady; six wonderful children, sons; Brian (Nancy), Brent, Bruce (Decka), Bill (Beth) and daughters; Brenda (Charlie) Beth (Woody); 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Tom Underwood and the extended Underwood family; her mother-in law, Rachel; sister-in-laws, Rosa Oliver and Joyce Evans and family and her very special friends -- you know who you are.
In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Janessa; a brother and a sister-in-law.
There will be a rosary at 10:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, located at St. Michael's Chapel on SJAFB. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be directed to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, North Carolina Chapter, 401 Harrison Oaks Blvd., Cary, North Carolina 27513.
