ABBIE L. JACKSON

CALYPSO -- Abbie Mae Lambert Jackson passed away early Tuesday at her home, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Annie Bell Turner Batson of Calypso.
A lifetime resident of Calypso, she was a beautician for many years and was a member of Calypso Baptist Church.
She is survived by her three children, two daughters, Donnie Ann L. Sauls and husband, Billy, of Goldsboro, and Janie L. Stevens and husband, David, of Mount Olive; a son, James Arthur "Jimmy" Lambert Jr. of Calypso; three grandchildren, Erik Arthur Sauls of Goldsboro, Jason Michael Stevens and wife, Ashley, of Faison, and Matthew Scott Stevens of Mount Olive; two great-grandchildren, Tori Sauls and Garrett Michael Stevens; and a sister, Thelma Barfield of Calypso. Also surviving are three stepdaughters, Virginia J. Outlaw and husband, Jimmy, of Dudley, Martha J. Davis and husband, Roger, of Calypso, and Donnie J. Byrd of Mount Olive; and step-grandchildren, Tammy Hayes, Gray Outlaw, Brent Davis, John Davis, Robin Smith and Amanda Harrell; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Marshall Outlaw, Mary Grayce Outlaw, Chesney Brown, Jackson Hayes, Kelsey Hayes, and Hannah Bell.
Her husbands, James Arthur Lambert, Sr. and Gordon Jackson, and a grandson, Kevin Sauls, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive with visitation immediately following. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Calypso Cemetery. Friends and relatives are also being received at the David and Janie Stevens residence, 707 Baker Chapel Church Road, Mount Olive.
