JOSEPHINE "JO" BLANTON HORRELL

OHIO -- Josephine "Jo" Blanton Horrell, formerly of Goldsboro, passed away Oct. 4, 2011, at Concord Care Center of Cortland in Ohio.
She was born April 3, 1923, to the parents of Bradley T. and Nancy Jane (Dail) Blanton.
She worked at Montgomery Ward, and then owned a child day care before retiring in 1986.
She was married to Daniel E. Horrell April 5, 1942, they celebrated 64 years of marriage before his death April 18, 2006.
Jo is survived by two daughters, Danette (Travis) Stone of Burghill, Ohio, and Gerri (Allen) Dail of Princeton, and a sister, Rovene Mathews of Willard.
She is also survived by two granddaughters, Amanda (Zach) Flowers and Susan (Tom) Crespo; four great-grandchildren, Eve, Lewis, Henry Flowers and Jonathan Crespo; a stepgrandson Christopher (Carrie) Dail; and three stepgreat-grandchildren Cody, Caden and Kaitlyn Dail.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be held at the home of Gerri and Allen Dail, 699 Rains Mill Road, Princeton, Oct. 8 and 9 from 5 to 8 p.m., and also at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace at 1 p.m., with the service to follow at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2011. Jo will be laid to rest at Rockfish Cemetery in Wallace.
