Ms. Barbara Ann Knight, 71, lovingly known by her family and friends as "Bobann," 207 Ryan Blvd., Goldsboro, graciously departed her earthly life Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Goldsboro.
Eulogistic service will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at noon in McIntyre Funeral Home chapel, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, with minister Earl L. Dancy officiating. Interment will follow in Old Mill Cemetery, 4487 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro.
A public viewing will be held Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at McIntyre Funeral Home and Florist, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, from 2 to 6 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories a daughter, Vickie Harper and special friend, Jeffrey, of Goldsboro; a son, Jimmy Knight and wife, Verlene, of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Geraldine Knight of Jamaica, N.Y.; two brothers, James Knight of Jamaica, N.Y., and Arthur Knight of Mastic, N.Y.; four granddaughters, Ta-Tanisha "Niecy" Howard, and husband, Marvin, and Misha Knight of Apex, Alandra Wynn of Goldsboro and Jamica Knight of Fort Worth, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
At other times, the family will receive friends and other family members at 207 Ryan Blvd., Goldsboro, where family and friends will also assemble Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at 11 a.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
