DUDLEY -- Richard Lamont McDowell, 44, of Geona Road, died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A celebration of life service will be today at 6 p.m. at Holly Hill Disciples of Christ Church. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Holly Hill Disciples of Christ Church, 644 North Beston Road, LaGrange.
He was born in Wayne County and was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy McDowell.
He is survived by two children.
The family will be receiving friends at the home of his sister, Jacqueline Hendrix, 911 National Drive, Goldsboro.
The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
