Mary Hart Tripplett, 86, passed over Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Tripplett was born in Greene County Oct. 21, 1924, to the late Johnnie and Celia Howell Hart.
She was a loving homemaker, and a member of the Hart Family Gospel Singers, performing throughout North Carolina and other states for many years.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Snow Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, beginning at 10 a.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro, and other times at the residence, 201 Walden Woods Drive, LaGrange.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hart was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Tripplett; a sister Mildred Hart; and five brothers, Wilbert Hart, Bruce Hart, Billy Hart, J.B. Hart and Delma Hart.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Catherine Triplet; a son, Johnny Tripplett and wife, Vickie, of Goldsboro; grandchildren Charissa Pollock and husband, David, Brandi Strickland and husband, Bret, of Goldsboro, Steven Nassef of LaGrange and Aleisha Nassef of Wilmington; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Pollock, Logan Pollock, Brooklynn Pollock and Phipps Strickland; two sisters, Helen Hill of Snow Hill and Verna Vaughn of Goldsboro; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Mary's memory to Church on the Rock, 133 Hill Loop Road, Goldsboro.
