Annie Rachel Mercer, 94, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 p.m. until at the home of her granddaughter, Sherry (Cecil) Toler at 107 Sandy Ridge Road in Rosewood.
Mrs. Mercer was born in Wayne County Dec. 3, 1916, to the late Ezra and Mallie Denning Peterson.
She is survived by a daughter.
The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
