MARION ROSE LEE ASHFORD

Marion Rose Lee Ashford, 86, 209 Sourwood Road went to be with her Lord Feb. 3, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Millers Chapel AME Zion Church in Goldsboro.
Mrs. Ashford was born in Craven County on Oct. 14, 1924, to the late Lonnie and Pearlie Mae Farrell Lee. She was a member of St. Mark FWB Church in Mount Olive and attended Millers Chapel AME Zion Church.
She is survived by six sons, John Lewis Ashford Jr. (Bernell), Jackie Ashford, Perry Lee Ashford, Algenon Ashford, Curtis Gene Ashford and Anthony Ashford (Tahsia); three daughters, JoAnn Durham (Kirby), Emma Kaye Lofton and Brenda A Bass (Wilbert); two brothers, Walter Alfonza Lee (Ardella) and the Rev. Curtis Gene Lee (Hilda); 21 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ashford was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Ashford and a daughter, Shirley Allen.
The viewing will be held today, Feb. 6, 2011, from 2 until 5 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory with the family present from 4 until 5 p.m.
