Jessie Mae Holt Brock, 84, died Friday evening at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Major R. Andrew Wiley of The Salvation Army officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Evergreen Cemetery following the service.
Born in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Ransom Eldridge and Ella Mae Talton Holt and was preceded in death by her husband, James Alfred Brock.
Retired as a lab technician with Borden Manufacturing after 47 years of service, she was a member of The Salvation Army Church where she was a member of The Home League and The Belfast Extension Homemakers Club. In the past she had worked with foreign exchange students through The Pacific Intercultural Exchange. During her early childhood she enjoyed her activities with The Girls in Action club in Princeton while growing up as a member of the Princeton Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Ransom Joseph "Randy" Brock of Goldsboro, a brother R.E. Holt of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandsons, Joel Batten and Matthew Brock; and a special cousin, Jessie Lee Outlaw.
