Joshua Antwan Fields was born Oct. 13, 2009, to Lathoisa Shantel Kornegay and Reginald Antwan Fields. Joshua entered this life sooner than his parents expected, but definitely on God's time. He entered into eternal rest on Oct. 28, 2010.
Services were held Saturday by E.M. Matthews Funeral Home.
Joshua was a fighter from the start, going through life; he learned to smile through it all. He was known to bring smiles to all who came in contact with him. Joshua will be greatly missed.
Joshua was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, James Albert Lee and maternal great-uncle, Michael Davaun "Bo" Kornegay; his paternal great-grandmother and great-grandfather, Almareada and James Fields; maternal great-grandmother, Mertie Mae Roberson and great-great-grandmother, Alice Ruthmae Kornegay.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Lathoisa S. Kornegay and father, Reginald A. Fields of the home; his maternal grandmother, Adell Kornegay of Goldsboro; his paternal grandfather, Elmer (Nina) Lee of Goldsboro; his maternal great-grandmother, Mary Rean Baker, of Goldsboro; his paternal grandmother Bernita Fields of Goldsboro; paternal grandfather, Reginald (Shelia) Monk of Burlington.
He also leaves to cherish his memories four brothers, Kaliea Fenderson and Timothy Fenderson, both of the home, Ny'Vion Jones and MyKale Jones of Goldsboro; two sisters, Serenity Jones and ReGinae Fields of Goldsboro; five aunts; two uncles; and special cousins; a special friend, Tommy Cannon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
