James Clifton "Jimmy" Best, 62, Goldsboro, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at his home.
Jimmy was born May 7, 1948, in Wayne County to Leah Holmes Best of Goldsboro and the late Clifton Best.
Jimmy was a lifelong farmer.
A graveside service of remembrance will be held Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery.
In addition to his mother, Jimmy is survived by two brothers, John H. Best and Terry W. "Ted" Best both of Goldsboro, and two sisters, Faye Potter of LaGrange and Ann Gallagher of Wake Forest.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service, and at other times they will be at the home of his mother.

Jimmy's desire for those wishing to honor his life would be to plant a tree in his memory, in lieu of flowers.
