JAMES SCOTT WALLER

James Scott Waller, 68, died suddenly Tuesday at home.
He was born in Wayne County to the late Robert Andrew and Julia Byrd Waller.
Mr. Waller was part owner of the Carolina Antique Tractor Pullers Association, and is survived by many tractor-pulling friends.
He is retired from Waller Machine Shop, where he had a reputation for being able to make and repair anything.
Since his retirement, he had been operating Waller Mowing Service doing commercial mowing.
Funeral services will be held Thursday evening at 7 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lamar Jackson officiating. Private graveside services will be held.
Mr. Waller is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mina Sutton Waller; three daughters, Sandee Scott Waller of Kinston and Melanie Waller and Angie Waller Cooke both of Mount Olive; four granddaughters, Dana Elizabeth Herring and fiancé, Michael Turnage, Amberly Herring, Jessica Hill and Ansley Hill; a great-grandson, Ethan Turnage; and a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth W. and Ken Laws of Southern Pines.
The family will be receiving friends immediately following the funeral service Thursday evening, and at other times will be at the home.
