MARGARET F. CUNNINGHAM

LAGRANGE -- Margaret Fields Cunningham, 77, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010.
Margaret was born Aug. 30, 1932, in Lenoir County to the late George Alexander Fields and Ida Casey Fields. She was wife of the late Mack Pate Cunningham.
Margaret formerly owned and operated The Thrift House in LaGrange.
She was a member of LaGrange United Methodist Church, and had served on the LaGrange Town Planning Board.
Margaret volunteered with the American Red Cross, and was a tutorial aide at LaGrange Elementary School.
A graveside service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at 11 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery, with the Rev. Vito Bisogno officiating.
Margaret is survived by a son, Mack P. Cunningham Jr. and wife, Cathy, of Hendersonville; two daughters, Marsha C. Lovick of Kinston and Beth C. Yelverton and husband, Allan, of LaGrange; six grandchildren, Julie C. Jacklin and husband, David, of Hendersonville, Emily C. Heffner of Hendersonville, Matt Lovick and wife, Mecca, of Oklahoma City, Jason Lovick of Kinston, Ethan Yelverton of LaGrange and Casey Beth Yelverton of LaGrange; three great-grandchildren, Gabe Williams, Ava Claire Heffner and Nicholas Jacklin; sister, Cora Fields Eason of Grantham; and a brother, George Alexander Fields Jr. of Kitty Hawk.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cunningham home, 701 S. Caswell St., LaGrange.
