VIRGINIA T. PERKINS

Virginia Taylor Perkins, 85, passed away Monday at her residence surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Andy Stovall officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Virginia was born in Greene County Oct. 28, 1924, to the late Amos Henry Taylor and Helen Wells Taylor. She was married to the late Walter James "W.J." Perkins Jr.
Virginia will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She assisted in the operation of Perkins Sawmill and was a retired accountant.
Virginia was a member of Oakland Friends Church.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Paula P. Waters and husband, Ronald, of Rosewood, Mary P. Weeks and husband, Neil, of Rosewood and Donna P. Braswell and husband, David, of Rosewood; son, Walter J. Perkins III and wife, Faye, of Rosewood; grandchildren, Ron Waters and wife, Jennifer, Brad Waters and wife, Jaime, Lee Waters, Curtis Whitley and wife, Tracey, Stuart Weeks, Travis Weeks and wife, Jaimee, Kandis Weeks, Jarrett Braswell and wife, Chassady, and Kasie Braswell; great-grandchildren, Anna and Connor Waters, Hagan Weeks, Gracie Braswell and Saylor and Gavin Whitley; sister, Edna Nickens and husband, the late J.R. Nickens, of Goldsboro; brother, Amos Henry "Sonny" Taylor Jr. and wife, Letty, of Pikeville.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence at 153 Perkins Mill Road in Goldsboro.
