MOUNT OLIVE -- Willie Faison, 66, 313 SE Center St., passed away Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Eulogistic services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Jackson Tabernacle Church. His mortal remains will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park, U.S. 117.
Sacred and precious memories are cherished by his wife, Wanda Faison of the home; his children, Wille Curtis Faison of Gary, Ind., Christopher Faison, Doroce Faison of Norwich, Conn., and Karen Faison Cureton of Lithonia, Ga.; stepchildren, Lakersha Davis of Nashville, Tenn., Towanda Hagans of the home and Shawn Melvin of Goldsboro; siblings, Doris Blair of Gary, Ind., Eva Holland of Griswold, Conn., Adell Williams of Wilson, Sudie Williams of Cary, Carolyn Barnes, Gracie Faison of Goldsboro, Pam Olive, Kathy Faison of Dudley, Frank Muhammad of Byron, Ga., Jessie Faison, Samuel Faison and Terry Faison of Mount Olive; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, Sammie Junior Faison and Gracie Lee Faison, and his sisters Rachel and Velma Faison.
Visitation will be Friday from 2:30 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Mount Olive.
The family will receive friends at other times at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
