BILLIE B. MEDFORD

Billie B. Medford, 84, Biltmore Drive, passed away Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Entombment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with military honors.
Mr. Medford was the son of the late William Pettus and Ora Johnson Medford, born in Rusk County, Texas, Aug. 8, 1925.
He was retired from the United States Navy earning the rank of E-6.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 40 years, Helen Mae Medford; one son, Steven Godwin and wife, Kay, of Wilmington; daughters, Billie Yvonne Medford of Texas, Janet Crouse and husband, Dan, of South Carolina, Linda Turner of Goldsboro, Mary Sue Carrier and husband, Dave, of Florida and Helen Williams and husband, Don, of Pikeville; one brother, Jack Medford and wife, Diane, of Texas; two sisters, Faye Marie Irby of Texas and Patricia Jean Clark of Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
