WILSON -- Jane Floyd Thaxton, 69, died Tuesday.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Warren-Dale Cemetery in Norlina, with the Rev. William Holliday officiating.
Mrs. Thaxton is survived by her husband, Bob Thaxton; a daughter, Laura Jane Whitehead and husband, Rickie, of Wilson; two sons, Robert C. Thaxton and wife, Robin, of Goldsboro and William B. Thaxton and wife, Jennifer, Lynn of Kinston; seven grandchildren, Lauren Whitehead, Allison Whitehead, Travis Thaxton, Kelly Mercer, Madison Mercer, Chris Thaxton and Harrison Thaxton; a sister, Julia Williams of Waynesville; and a brother, Hillman Floyd of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her grandsons, Trent and Tyler Thaxton.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway.
