Albert Sidney Vann Sr., 82, of Azalea Drive passed away Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A private service will be held.
Mr. Vann is survived by three sons, Albert S. Vann Jr. of Goldsboro, Allan H. Vann and wife, Sheryl, of Charlotte, and Michael H. Vann of Goldsboro; one brother, Thomas Vann and wife, Shirley, of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Sara Wise of Raleigh and Polly McKnight of Havelock; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Wiggs Vann and a daughter, Celia Vann.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 268, Raleigh, NC 27605.
