DUDLEY -- James Lawrence Roberts, 62, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Mar Mac Friends Church, with Howard Seymour officiating.
James was born in Syracuse, N.Y., July 12, 1946, to the late Fred R. Roberts and Phyllis Rose Wilkes Roberts.
He was employed as a mechanical engineer with Reuel in Goldsboro. James was a member of the National Railway Historical Society and attended Mar Mac Friends Church.
James is survived by his son, David Arron Roberts and wife, Patricia, of Dudley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wayne County Food Bank.
