Matthew Smith, 60, 3950 County Road, LaGrange, died Tuesday at Durham Veterans Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday at noon at McIntyre Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
His wife, Peggy Smith, and one child survives.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at 3960 County Line Road where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
