EVELYN GRACE SUMMERLIN FAULK

MOUNT OLIVE -- Evelyn Grace Summerlin Faulk, 68, 619 Norwood Ezzell Road, died Wednesday at Carolina East/Quinn Hospice Center in Kenansville.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Paul Rose officiating. Entombment will follow in the Faulk Family Cemetery on Pettifoot Road, near the residence.

Daughter of the late Robert H. and Letha Mae Summerlin, Mrs. Faulk was retired from Burlington Industries and she had also been active in her family's farming operation.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Oliver H. Faulk Sr. of the home; two daughters, Janet Faulk Wyatt and husband, William, of Pittsboro, and Lynn Faulk Outlaw of Mount Olive; a son, Oliver H. Faulk Jr. of Mount Olive; six grandchildren, Andrew Outlaw, Rebecca Outlaw Dyer, A.J. Wyatt, Stacy Faulk Davis, April Faulk Thompson, and Oliver H. "Trey" Faulk III, and their families; 11 great-grandchildren; her devoted care-giver, Ashley Collins of Mount Olive; two sisters, Clara S. Price of Mount Olive, and Nannie Ruth S. Bradford and husband, Leon of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Faulk was preceded in death by her brothers, Oliver, Herman, Russell, Melvin and Ricky Summerlin.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, and at other times at the home of Lynn Outlaw, 532 Pettifoot Road, Mount Olive.
