MARGARET L. PATE

Margaret Louise Pate, 81, a resident of Woodbridge, Va., for 48 years, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at her home. She was the loving wife of Richard Braxton Pate, originally of Fremont, for 63 years.
Interment was held at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Va.
Margaret was the oldest daughter of the late James Edgar and Lucy Huneycutt Thomas and a 1945 graduate of Goldsboro High School. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Anderson, Dorothy Poandl, Doris Healy; and her brothers James Edgar Thomas Jr. (Cookie), Larry Thomas and Gregory Thomas.
Along with her husband Richard, Margaret is survived by her children Susan Dunn of Gainesville, Va., Richard Pate Jr. of Manassas, Va., and Phillip Pate of Woodbridge, Va.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
