Hilda Lancaster Godwin, 79, died Tuesday at SunBridge of Mount Olive.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh. The family will receive friends today from 1 to 5 at the home of Shirley Corbett, 474 Airport Road, Pikeville, and at the funeral home from 7 to 9.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of Paul H. and Lillian Killette Lancaster and wife of the late Robert Earl Godwin.
Mrs. Godwin is survived by two sons, Danny A. Leverette and wife, Judy, of Auburn, Ala., and Hank William Holden; one brother, George H. Lancaster and wife, Rosa, of Jacksonville; two sisters, Cora Alease Sanders of Swansboro and Shirley Corbett of Pikeville; a grandson, Chad Leverette of Auburn, Ala.; and one great-granddaughter, Faith Leverette of Auburn, Ala.
