DARLENE BARNES PIPKIN
Died Feb. 20, 2009
Darlene Barnes Pipkin of Eureka, 82, passed away Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held today at 4 p.m. at the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont with visitation immediately following the service. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery.
Mrs. Pipkin was retired from Firestone and was a caretaker of the elderly for the last 15 years.
She is survived by one son, Cecil G. Mooring and wife, Selena, of Surf City; two brothers, Jim Barnes and Bob Barnes, both of Fremont; two sisters, Doris Jones of Kenly, Ethel Green and husband, Herbert, of Fremont; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Pipkin was preceded in death by two children, James E. Mooring and Brenda Parrish.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Mount Nelson Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member.
