MOUNT OLIVE -- Mrs. Carrie Jackson Sutton, 86, 1233 Crow's Foot Road, died early Friday morning at her home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Tyndall Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Frank Purvis and the Rev. Chris Watkins. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
She was the widow of George Melvin Sutton and was a member of Eureka Christian Church. She was a retired cafeteria worker having been employed with the Wayne County Public School system.
Mrs. Sutton is survived by four daughters, Judy S. Lewis and husband, Skippy, of Mount Olive, Jackie S. Thornton of Smithfield, Gail Jones and husband, Buddy, of Mount Olive, and Jean Sutton of Clinton; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Eureka Christian Church, 2050 Dobbersville Rd., Mount Olive, N.C., 28365, or Manley Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 633 Manley Grove Church Road, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365.
Arrangements are being handled by Tyndall Funeral Home.
