HERBERT R. LEWIS
Died Feb. 17, 2009
Herbert Ray Lewis, 75, Countryside Assisted Living, 5383 N. U.S. 117, Pikeville, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 410 S. Goldsboro St., Fremont, with pastor Howard Artis officiating. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery, Fremont. A viewing will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., with the family receiving friends there from 6 to 7 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Lewis' residence, 210 Carlyle Circle, one hour prior to time for the procession to the church on Saturday.
Mr. Lewis leaves to cherish his memory, Doris (Wilie) Scales of Flowermound, Texas, Barbara Holmes of Fremont, Herbert (Teresa) Lewis of Fayetteville, Donald (Gloria) Lewis of Goldsboro, Frederick (Sharon) Lewis of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Tony (Crystal) Lewis of Goldsboro; one brother, Leonard (Arletha) Lewis of Fremont; two sisters-in-law; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
