Jesse Dewitt Smith Jr., 60, 312 Meyers St., peacefully departed his earthly sojourn on Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Chapel with apostle D.L. McIntyre officiating.
To cherish a wealth of memories, he leaves his wife, Shirley Smith of Goldsboro; his companion, Annie Sarah Smith of Goldsboro; daughter, Cynthia Foster of Goldsboro; sons, Jesse Smith of Pikeville, Corey Smith and Christopher Smith of Goldsboro; brothers, Robert Smith of Virginia, Christopher Smith of Goldsboro, Kent Smith and Timothy of Africa; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at other times at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
