Jack Earl Best, 64, 508 S. Herman St., died Tuesday in Butner.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Mount Zion Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Parkstown. He will be laid to rest in Old Mill Cemetery.
His survivors include two sons; four grand-daughters; brother, George Henry Best Wooten of Goldsboro; sisters, Georgia Best Wooten of Philadelphia, Pa.; and two uncles, Samuel Jackson of LaGrange and Melvin Jackson of Goldsboro.
There will be a time of reflection with the family present to receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
