Jimmy Randall Thomas, 67, 1466 N.C. 581 N., Pikeville, died Saturday evening at Johnston Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 at Casey Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Pollock and the Rev. Chuck Owens officiating. The committal service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Princeton Cemetery.
He was born March 26, 1941, and was the son of the late Arthur Cooper and Edna Gurley Thomas. Mr. Thomas worked at Carolina Lighting, formerly known as G.E., for 33 years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Talton Thomas; son, Ivey Thomas of Goldsboro; daughter, Kim Thomas of Pikeville; brother and sister-in-law, Donald Thomas and wife, Carolyn, of Goldsboro; sister and brother-in-law, Betsy Woodruff and husband, Martin, of West Jefferson; grandson, Brandon Thomas; several nieces; and one nephew.
The family will receive friends beginning tonight at 6 at Casey Funeral Home and immediately following the service.
