VIRGINIA INEZ FORE SPENCER

Died Jan. 26, 2009

SANFORD -- Virginia Inez Fore Spencer, 79, 1020 Courtland Village, died Monday.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Russell Blackman and the Rev. Ronnie Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Cameron Grove Cemetery in Sanford.

Mrs. Spencer was the daughter of the late George Norman and Eula Myrtle Smith Fore. She was a waitress with Haymont Grill and Steak House for 30 years and was a member of Swann Station Baptist Church in Sanford. She was a loving mother and adored grandmother and loved doing crafts, sewing and cooking.

She is survived by four daughters, Ronda Spencer Sasser and husband, Larry, of Fremont, Susan Turney and husband, Clarence, of Cameron, Donna Jackson and husband, Thomas, of Goldsboro, and Paula K. Bowman of Hapeville, Ga.; two sons, Robin Tim Spencer and wife, Felicia, of Fayetteville and Jerry Fore and wife, Mary, of Sanford; two sisters, Daphine Byrd of Broadway and Sylvia Turman of Sanford; one brother, Jack Fore of Sanford; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Larry Fore; a grandson, Sekima (Mike) Spencer; and two brothers, Doyle and Ernest Fore.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 4888 U.S. Highway 1 S., Vass, N.C., and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Susan Turney and husband, Clarence, of 67 C.E. Beair Lane, Cameron, N.C.
