Died Jan. 15, 2009

CLINTON -- Mack Thomas McClenny, 79, of 1311 B. Jasper St., died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at the home of his daughter.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Cotton officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.

Mr. McClenny was born in Duplin County to the late Roscoe Elliott and Janie Bell Watkins McClenny, and was the widower of Doris Pauline Tevepaugh McClenny. He was a member of Colonial Heights F.W.B. Church and was a miller in seed and feed production.

Survivors are five children, Katherine Hardison and husband, Elmore, of Calypso, Tommy McClenny and wife, Linda, of Clinton; Ed McClenny and wife, Jeanie, of Turkey, Jane Jackson and husband, Mark, of Roseboro, and Earl McClenny and wife, Shelby, of Clinton; a brother, Henry McClenny of Smithfield; a sister, Callie Beal of Fayetteville; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Sunday evening at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton, and at other times at the home of his daughter, Jane Jackson, at 2854 Dunn Road, Roseboro.
