Died Jan. 10, 2009
Nazareth Cox Sr., 86, 705 Isler St., passed away peacefully Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
He will be eulogized Saturday at 1 p.m. at White Oak Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church with Elder George Wiggins officiating. His mortal remains will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was preceded in the chambers of death by three children, Nazareth Cox Jr., Shirley Cox and Lorice Cox.
Precious and warm memories are treasured by his beloved wife, Virginia Margie Cox of the home; his children, Barbara Dickerson of Newark, N.J., Linda Dubose of Highlandfalls, N.Y., Ernestine Cox of Brooklyn, N.Y., Edna Cox of Durham, Helen Cox of Goldsboro, Sheryl Cox of the home, Durwood Cox of Spring Valley, N.Y., Thurman Cox of Germany, Emma Cox Coor of Laurelton, N.Y.; and a host grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 7 with the family present to receive friends at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Goldsboro. The family will receive friends at other times at 1538 Tommy's Road where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
