GRACE CARTER STEVENSON
March 13, 1924-Jan. 9, 2009
Grace Carter Stevenson, 84, a resident of the Pines, passed away on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with Pastor David Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Grace was born in Greene County on March 13, 1924, to the late Berry Carter and Polly Ham Mitchell Carter. She was married to the late Royall Johnson and to the late Norman Stevenson. Grace retired from General Electric with more than 32 years of service. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.
Grace is survived by her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Esther Mitchell Tyndall, Emma Barfield Atkinson, Emmitt Carter, Helen Carlisle Schmitt, Jim Berry Carter and Thomas Carter.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home Sunday from 5 until 7 p.m.
