MAGNOLIA -- Harold Melvin Pope Sr., 83, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 9 at Community Funeral Home of Rose Hill and at other times at the home of Harry Pope, 499 Brooks Quinn Road, Magnolia. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Community Funeral Home Chapel of Rose Hill. Burial will follow in the Devotional Gardens.
He was born March 20, 1925, in Duplin County to the late Floyd Ernext Pope Sr. and Rosa Mae Snow Berger.
He is survived by one son.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Margaret Simpson Pope.
Arrangements are being handled by Community Funeral Home of Rose Hill.
