BALTIMORE, Md. -- Mr. Donnell Best, 63, 7402 Upsher St., Landover, Md., entered into eternal rest on Monday at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at noon at New Daniel Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church, 789 Moye Road, Fremont, with Bishop James Leftdwrige officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, 411 N. Vance St., Fremont. A viewing and wake will be held Friday at New Daniel Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church from 11 a.m. to noon with the family present to receive other family members and friends. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of the Howell Family, 1319 Davis Mill Road, Fremont, N.C., 27830.
His brother, Roger, and his sisters, Audrey Katrina and Pervilla Best, all preceded him in death.
The beloved husband of Shirley Howell Best, the father of the late Donnell Best Jr., is survived by his mother, Queen Best; his sisters, Maxine James, Rosetta Martin, Dorothy Holmes, Barbara Morrison, Versity Wallace and Vanessa Best and his brothers, Cornell, Jimmy, Vic, Wallace and Tony Best.
