ALBERTSON -- Adell Turner Jones, 82, 1935 Red Hill Road, died peacefully at her home early Tuesday morning. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Eva Summerlin Turner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday night from 7 to 9 and at other times at the residence.
Adell was a life long resident of the Pleasant Grove community. She was a member of Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church and the Pleasant Grove VFD Ladies Auxiliary. She was a homemaker who loved her flowers, her family and was a friend to all.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Marthel Jones; three sons and their wives, Woody and Linda Jones of Albertson, Skeet and Jean Jones of Albertson, and Milton and June Jones of Simpson; six grandchildren, Anissa Jones Tolbert and husband, Zack, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Marty Jones of Anchorage, Ark., Vonda Jones Grady and husband, Barney , of Kenansville, Karolee Jones Myers and husband, Don, of Goldsboro, Matthew Jones and Madison Jones of Simpson; and five great-grandchildren, Emma and Cooper Tolbert, Daniel Grady, and Sydney and Sebastian Myers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Perry Turner, Ardell Turner, Garland Turner, and Elton Ray Turner.
