VIRGINIA BEACH -- Michael "Byrd" Edwards, 53, 1100 block of Nipigon Circle, died Friday at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.
A funeral will be held today at 11 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 2804 Holland Road, with the Rev. Todd C. Davidson officiating. Interment will be at Wayne Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at the church for the service. A viewing was held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby St. Chapel.
He was born Nov. 9, 1955, to the late Annie and William Glaston Edwards in Snow Hill.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Betty Edwards and two sons.
