BOBBY DOLTON STITH

Bobby Dolton Stith, 71, of Topsail Beach, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009 at Cape Fear Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at Emma Anderson Memorial Chapel in Topsail Beach.

He was born on April 6, 1937, the son of the late Ira and Lila King Stith. Also remembered is his brother, Arthur King, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Stith retired from IBM. He was also a former owner of Island Treasures in Topsail Beach. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his love of people.

Surviving are his wife, Alice W. Stith; son, Joey Stith and friend, Penny Coates, of Hampstead; daughter, Christy Antoniak and husband, John, of Wilmington; sister, Edith Smith and friend, Eddie Coltrain, of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Andrew Stith and Austin Stith, both of Raleigh; special niece, Sugars Rozelsky of Mount Olive; nephew, Buddy King of Kenly; niece Rose Beavers of Mount Olive; an aunt, Reba Warwick of Goldsboro; special family, Greg, Jill, and Sam Heath of Cary; special friends, Les, Sonny, and Skip; mother-in-law, Louise Westbrook; brother-in-law, Hubert "Pedro" Westbrook and wife Shirley of Cornelius; sister-in-law, Beverly Caddis and husband, Monty, of Clinton; and his canine companion, "Roxy."

The family will receive friends following the service at the chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Va. 23060 or to the Topsail Humane Society, P.O. Box 117, Hampstead, N.C. 28443.
